I am working on this. With the move tot he new server it has become cap sensitive so some of my links have broken. I assume you can generate the character. You should be able to click on the link next to the PDF link and it will render an HTML printable version of the character sheet. Not perfect but it should get you through.

I will update once I have it fixed.

Looks like I have it working again. The web.xml file was missing some URL pattern definitions.

Let me know if you run into any other problems.

We seem to been having some difficulties with the new server but they all seem ironed out. If you find any other errors let me know. I will be moving towards adding new functionality now.

Thanks for the report.

I am still getting the same errors...a long long list

Also...I get to the point where I pick the class and it dies...

I also noticed you are running into a problem I ran into with my D&D character generator...

You get way way too many single digit responses for score generation. Three dice pick the high would generate a bell curve showing alot of responses in the 9-12 range. I have to do the stats in long hand but i think you should get a number below 5 in less than one in ten...

Just guessing I see a flat generator making a number between 1 and 20 instead of a generator that adds all three and then averages...

I could be wrong, but I get much much better scores when I roll by hand...

O.k. I think I got it fixed again. Which class were you having troubles with? Essentially, the error was with any class that had free skills associated with it.

As to the method of stat generation, the CHARGen actually generates three random numbers in the appropriate range (depending on race) and takes the highest. The problem is most people roll a lot better than a random generator. Since you are rolling and taking the highest you actually get some fairly high numbers. It is not a bell curve.

So, in the end, you can also enter your scores manually.

All those would have hit the bug I found. Let me know if it persists.

Thanks,

I just made a Kiran Soldier and a Gren Pilot.

Exactly what error are you getting? Is it an error or is the page not loading?

Is it still happening after you pick the race, fill in the personal info then hit submit?

What browser are you using?

Sorry for the problems. I am trying to track it down but it is rough when you cannot reproduce the error.

I see the problem but will need some time to resolve it. The Java Script that normally checks to make sure the fields are filled in does not seem to be working.

So, in the mean time, make sure you fill in all the fields. Also, Age must be numeric so no "55 standard years" just "55".

Sorry about this. It was trapping for all this back in the day.

Thanks for your patience.

Again:
What Browser?

What Version of the Browser?

When did this error occur? i.e. In skills, character information, stat generation?

Thanks for sticking with it Regulon.

Bill

Edit: My guess fromt he error is that you are using FireFox which does not seem to be running JavaScript for the CHARGen. This means the fields are not being checked correctly and you are able to enter incorrect data types into fields. For instance, in the Age field, you can only enter a number; i.e. 33 and NOT 33 years or Thirty-three. Normally, read in other browsers, you get an error if you try that and get a chance to correct it.
