ibooks - ibook author... e/book

Hey - its been a LONG time. My life has changed... or is in constant change. Anyhow - I started putting together my ill fated version of the core rules... AGAIN... I started a bit before the holidays - then put things aside till the holidays were over. Anyhow, upon review of my documents - before ge...

Re: Life Path - revised thoughts

I guess I am trying to not only build a character with stats - but also a short history to ground the characters in. With the lifepath - my thinking was providing some background - past contacts or associations - did you serve in the war / did do some hard time? / injury / mega corp experience - pas...

Re: Life Path - revised thoughts

Ok - so to continue - Lifepaths as I see them would take everything currently used in character creation and retool that within the "paths". ie. Stat pools, attribute bonuses, extra skill bonuses, career skill list availability and special abilities...etc. These would only be available to ...

Life Path - revised thoughts

I didn't want to raise dead posts - so I thought I would take a stab at a new post.... regarding life paths. The setting I working on uses IRCS2 - its futuristic - and fits within the Neb setting - but in isolation. Think of it as a future dystopian Earth - large cities - abandon areas - environment...

Re: Silent Running

I have been noodling on my setting for awhile now - after many life changes coming and going. It is hard to stay on one task for long. But as long as you keep plugging away - even very slowly - its of value. I find that when I come back each time to my project - I reread and re-evaluate what I had d...

back - again - after too long.

Ok - I am a broken record - but I have been poking my head back into the forums for the last few weeks. Life took me for another set of roller coaster rides - which should be down to a "normal" in a few weeks. I had "finishing" my game on my todo list for the last years - but eac...

Re: Cover for Zombipocalypse and Title discussion

wow... do I ever go away for long spells... anyhow...cool cover - I like the initial idea (first post)... I am not keen on the hand prints (if each were different maybe - but copy and paste doesn't suit me). Anyhow - I like "infected : year of darkness..." but it almost seems like your spe...

Re: ISCR V2

looks good Bill - like the sheet - after I figure out a new sheet for my setting in IDv2 - I will work up a generic version if needed. Although I think yours looks pretty sound as is!

Re: What brings you to Hinterwelt?

Hey all, my name is Don Walton - from portland, oregon - usa. I have been gaming for a long long time - big fan of Gamma World (1st ed)... then it all grew from there. Played lots of AD&D, Stormbringer, Twilight 2000, Traveller, WHFRP, Paranoia, Marvel, Shadowrun etc... Then fell into the Warham...

Re: [First Draft] Nebuleon II Cover

hmmm I like the extra tools... like ship building, world building - possibly system building? - for world building would you consider working into that a way to quickly build the society/power/economical/government etc. of world or system? just a thought... eheh

Re: [First Draft] Nebuleon II Cover

Thats a good idea - have OPTIONAL setting plot line material. I usually don't go for the meta game stuff - especially built into the system book. I don't mine it as a supplement. I remember when traveller was re-released and there was the whole fractured empire stuff. It bothered me at the time. -d

Re: [First Draft] Nebuleon II Cover

really (working as a graphic designer and pre-press person) the black edges are a nice way to be very helpful to press/production... eheh

Very nice cover - coming together nicely. Now did I miss something? whats this war? -

Re: ISCR V2

Ahhh Ok - I will work from ISCR v2 then... need to re-read and compare notes on the changes - see how if effects things - if anything as far as my project goes. Lots of information lost for me (hard drive dropped a few months ago - and before that I had some back up stuff go). Anyhow recompiling fro...

Re: [First Draft] Nebuleon II Cover

very nice - Love this cover - colors and it all "pops" nicely - a spaceship, space station or something in the background (near the planet or in the nebula) as mentioned prior is just about the only thing I could add.

Re: ISCR V2

Question - looking through my notes - is this the latest version of the core rules? - I am updating my notes to jive with the current ruleset - this or the LITE rules...
