It has been a while…

Hey folks, I am going through a site update and hopefully will have some time to work on a few projects that Linda has been encouraging me to do. First, she wants a revisit of the Squirrel Attack series. We need to look at making the system more streamlined and I would like to look at the first couple of adventures that parodied popular genres of games while celebrating the style. I think it would be interesting and worth while.

Second, Nebuleon really needs to get a revision. Healing is poorly covered and I think some of the civilizations could be expanded on. As well, A.I. need to be tightened up as I think they sometimes run a little too loose with the definitions. In general, and this leads to the next point, Iridium needs a refit that could smooth its play a bit.

Third, Iridium makes me happy but I would like to see a few changes. First, fewer stats that have broader application. So, drop to 5-6 stats and let those drive to hit probabilities. I am toying with decreasing body locations to 5 and generally simplifying the system with a decrease of rules and clutter. That said, I am not set on a path yet.

Finally, I would like to revisit and update the site, specifically go after CHARGen and make it more flexible with upgrades to modern tech.

So, I hope to be posting here more often.

  1. Going to try this for Sunday dinner! My mohter was from Lucca, Italy and her chicken cacciatore recipe is very much the same. She finished cooking hers in the oven after browning in the skillet. When I do it, it is always too runny. I can remember my grandmohter making it your way. Anyway, thanks and hope the smells and taste bring back all athe great memories our family has shared over the generations. Joe

  3. RK, not necessarily easier to construct. Not only is the puzzle 16 squares wide by 16 squares deep, which typically adds at least 20 extra white squares, each of the four gimmick words is five letters long. Like Huda, I can’t think of any other examples that would fit theme requirements. With the exception of BARI, SAENS and ADANO, a 5-star puzzle.

  4. haha.. I’m opposed to abercrombie.. but sometimes the (sometimes) cuteness of (some) of their clothes draws me in, and i have to resist!Sarah’s comment made me laugh.. every time my friends drag me in there, we see employees running around spraying the clothes on the shelves with the abercrombie cologne.

  5. Bob,Great little torch in the darkness (sorry to have to use Tory parties old iconography for this description!). As to Young Mr Duff, leave him be, he seems to have misunderstood that reiterating a point ad infinitum does not necessarily make it correct. It’s as impossible as debating a creationist.
